Trauma

How do you release the patterns formed by childhood trauma? Perhaps some of our blocks were inherited from past lives in which we experienced extreme trauma. Our lives seem to be controlled by subconscious programs that impact us in all sorts of ways. Taking complete control of our life often seems like a huge challenge. Life is about changing our perspective and having the courage to step through these limiting beliefs. It’s about becoming free to experience our true essence as a unique spirit, filled with joy, love and light.
The first step is to gain awareness of the blocks. This often requires the assistance of a mindfulness coach, a hypnotherapist, a psychic, a close partner, or even a mirror. Someone who has the ability to see beyond the obvious and help you recognise your blocks. It also helps to do some type of ceremony where you can feel and embrace your emotions in order to release them. Don’t hesitate to call upon your guides to help you release the blocks for good. Visualising your life as a complete success in the areas where you are currently stuck is also important.
Finally, you need to commit to living in the present moment and unbelieving everything! Your brain is like a computer, it needs to be rebooted regularly so that it runs smoothly. Make choices that only empower you and make you more resourceful and complete. No longer let blocks from the past inhibit your ability to share your unique gifts and loving essence with a world that is desperately in need of your light. Be Mindful… Pause… Connect!

Trusting Our Intuition

How much do you trust your intuition and your connection to Source Energy? Do you get gut feelings or spiritual prompts of what you should do? If so, do you consistently act on them or does your logical mind say it’s crazy, not practical or doesn’t make sense? I have learnt that following my spiritual prompts is not about me, it’s about others!

Is your connection so clear that you hear or feel your spiritual prompts? Do you automatically act on this guidance as the driving force in your life? If you are one that acts consistently on this inner compass, what has the result been? Do you find that when you trust Source completely, and follow without question, that things seem to always turn out for good? There is always a reason for following our spiritual prompts.

Until now it may have been difficult for most people to truly trust their connection to inner guidance and divine wisdom. However, in today’s world it is becoming easier and easier to connect. The more time we spend in silence, actively listening for guidance, the easier it is to trust and act on what we perceive. There definitely is higher guidance available to help us all live a more fulfilling life. It is time to trust our instincts and begin to truly follow our hearts wherever it may guide us. Massive Change

I posted this image on facebook this morning and one guy commented, “Can you give examples of where and how this is happening?”
I replied, “I love meeting people and over half the people I meet are awake. Start talking about it with the people you know or talk about your crook back. It’s amazing how many people have a crook back! Mindful Love & Light Always!”
Be Mindful about what you talk about! Be authentic and you will attract the right people into your tribe. Talk about your troubles and you will find more trouble. Talk about how the world is awakening and you will find more awakened people! Just imagine if the media started to talk about mindfulness, consciousness, heartfulness and kindness.
It’s up to us! Let’s follow our spiritual prompts and sew seeds into people to help them awaken. We can make a difference in this crazy world… one person at a time! Be Mindful… Pause… Connect!

Change the Story

How do you make changes in your life? Let’s say you have just returned from an inspirational workshop and you have lots of great ideas. Should you try to implement them all at once? It is better to focus on one or maybe two things that you feel will have the greatest benefit. Then work out what you need to clear that is currently taking your time, in order to invest time into the new. Consciously saying no to certain habits can be very liberating, especially when you replace them with something that will be much more empowering.
Most importantly, you need to change the story around whatever you are trying to implement. For example, if it is financially related, you should catch any thoughts around doubt, fear or any sense of lack. When you notice such thoughts… be mindful… pause… connect and be grateful for what you have. Gratitude is one of the greatest energies that allows us to receive abundance from the universe. When our story supports our worthiness to receive, anything is possible! Changes can happen instantly and life can transform in the most miraculous ways. Keep practicing! Be Mindful… Pause… Connect!

Breakthrough

How do you know when you have made a true breakthrough in your life? Is it a knowing deep in your soul that you are more connected with your true self? Can you feel the difference in your body? Is there a heightened sense of emotion, like love, joy, happiness or gratitude? Is there a greater sense of empathy and compassion for others? Will people who know you, notice any difference? Or will it be something that only you can really feel in your heart? When you really do have a breakthrough and move into a higher vibrational frequency; is it permanent or do you need to solidify it with a daily practice?
Breakthrough is different for each individual. What creates a breakthrough for you, and how it is manifested in your life, will be unique to you. Seeking breakthroughs, even little ones, is the key to consistently move your frequency into higher realms. When you can help spark breakthroughs in others, then your own growth is assured. Ultimately the result of all breakthroughs is more love, joy and happiness in your life and in the lives of others. Practice being mindful throughout your day and the breakthroughs will come. Is It True?

Which is more important? Trying to understand the true history of our world or envisioning a new world being created? Things being discovered today about the planet’s past is fascinating and turns most things we were taught upside down. The limited framework we were exposed to has given many of us a skewed perspective. How has this false knowledge affected you? The most important thing to realise, from a spiritual point of view, is that we have been connected to the universe since the world began. Nothing has changed!

Be curious about your beliefs and the things you have been taught! Creating a life in a way that envisions a better world for you and the entire planet is the way to go. Aspire to a world of love, peace, compassion and cooperation. It is so easy to get caught up in the past or in the future. Live your life as fully as possible in the present moment. How do you know whether you are present or not? By observing your thoughts, rather than getting all caught up in them. Mindful practice is simple, but not always easy. That’s why it’s called a practice! Use the past as lessons and focus on the present moment to create a future that is both fulfilling and rewarding. Be Mindful… Pause… Connect!

Are You God?

Are you a reflection of our Creator’s perfection? When is that perfection going to show up in the midst of all our life challenges? There are many theories about the origin of man, who is the creator, and whether or not we are gods ourselves? Perhaps we are merely imperfect humans embodied on a challenging planet. We all look at ourselves and see flaws because we have been conditioned to spend our lives trying to overcome.
Let’s suppose it is possible that we are a perfect reflection of our Creator. Perhaps we are here to dive deeply into the challenges of human life, in order to experience all our emotions? Wouldn’t life as a perfect being be extremely boring? Is it possible that planet earth is merely a playground to experience every human emotion? Maybe that is the true gift this planet provides… experiencing fully in each moment, the joys, sorrows, fears and frustrations that make life an interesting and truly captivating experience. The more we practice mindfulness and treat life as a mysterious and exhilarating adventure, the more we find it to be the perfect place to be godlike and human at the same time. We Have Power

How do you feel when you hear the word power? Do you connect power with corruption? The quest for power has been a huge problem throughout history and continues to this day. Do you see those in powerful positions as being greedy and insensitive to the plight of the less powerful? If this is how you feel, welcome to the club! Don’t we often feel powerless when faced with the system that has been created, supposedly for our own good?
Let’s take a minute and think about the power of the universe compared to the material power on our planet. Which is infinitely more powerful? We can and should tap into this universal power. This daily practice is deceptively simple. Give your higher power a name and ask, ‘What are we doing today?’ Pause your mind and connect by listening deeply, beyond your thoughts. The world needs mindfully connected leaders to help inspire a shift in consciousness. Why not you? Be Mindful… Pause… Connect!

Moving Beyond

How often do you judge yourself or others? Do you waste your energy evaluating and categorising people? Do you see yourself as good or bad, positive or negative? This is what our minds have been conditioned to do. This is right, that is wrong. What would happen if we were able to move beyond this mindset? What would happen if we simply observe and are curious about everything in our world, without the need to judge or label it?

This is the mindset that all the great yogis, gurus, mystics and teachers of all spiritual traditions have been teaching! What would life be like if we truly trusted that everything the universe sends to us is for our greater good? If we stopped judging people, we would start to see the light in people. If we stopped judging ourselves, we would start living a more authentic life. Let’s make an effort to mindfully observe ourselves and make these judgments less often. Let’s pause our minds regularly throughout our day to raise our level of awareness. Always remember how miraculously wonderful you are! Be Mindful… Pause… Connect!

Happiness and Benefits

Happy Kids

This is the 4th track on The Mindful Way CD. It is about happiness and other sound reasons to develop a mindful practice or a good reminder to keep it going! Feedback welcome. Enjoy!
The most obvious benefit of developing a mindful practice is a huge increase in happiness. Happiness becomes a bi-product of mindfulness and almost an automatic choice. Happiness isn’t a destination, an award, a goal or something you chase after, it’s the main reason why we are here – to be happy! So wake up every day with a determination to be mindful and happy, no matter what comes your way.

There are many other benefits of developing a mindful practice. I have taken note of the benefits that I have experienced since I embarked on the mindful way. These benefits have also been confirmed with feedback, from both my coaching clients and from my book Mindful Actions. My favourite feedback is hearing from people coming off meds. Mindfulness is now a proven alternative to medication. It is true that meds can help when people’s lives are out of control but honestly, most of the benefit goes to pharmaceutical companies.
