Psychotherapy

People naturally come up with all sorts of reasons as to why therapy won’t or can’t work for them. For example: I’ve tried before, I can’t do it, it’s too hard, this is bullshit, I’ve always been this way, this is who I am, I’m too depressed, I’m too anxious, I’m an addict, I’ve been diagnosed with X, my life is Y, other people are Z, I’m too A, I’m not B enough, therapy is useless, it won’t work, you can’t help me because of CDE, I have disorder FGH, I’ve got no motivation (or energy, or willpower, or discipline), I’ve got an addictive personality, I’ve been permanently damaged by IJK and can never recover, etc. etc.
These type of thoughts are your mind trying to look after you, trying to do you a favour. Your mind is trying to save you from something that might fail or go wrong or be unpleasant. What your mind is actually saying is: ‘Are you sure you want to do this? You might be just wasting your time, money and energy. This might even make things worse!’ And you know, the truth is, there’s probably nothing I can say that will stop your mind from doing that. It’s just doing its job – trying to protect you.
There’s a part of me that really wants to reassure you; to say, ‘This will work for you!’ But the truth is, I can’t guarantee that it will work, and if you ever go to any type of therapist who guarantees ‘This will work!’ – my advice would be, don’t go back – because they are either lying or deluded. The fact is – no one can ever guarantee that! But there are two things I will guarantee. I guarantee that I’ll do my very best to show you the way by giving you the right tools. It is then up to you! I also guarantee, if we give up because your mind has doubts, we won’t get anywhere. So even though your mind will keep coming up with reasons as to why this can’t or won’t work for you – can we go ahead anyway?

I would love to know what type of 1:1 would be a good fit for someone who has Complex Pstd?. I’ve used Transpersonal Trauma Hypnotherapy, since July of 2021. I went to a retreat of my friend and there I began healing. I used talk therapy forever and it did nothing. Unfortunately through that I have been placed for years upon years of meds and 2 are extremely difficult to get off of and the other two have their side effects from. I was going to wean when reading. I moved 900 miles away from home to be near as she did do medication management. She was extremely holistic and I understand most everything from inner child healing, reiki, trauma yoga. Polyvagl, Somatics and breathe work, to go within. I’m wondering your pricing? Please I just lost my father and I’m 900 miles away from home. After the second week of being alone, so frightened and panicking. I had a knot in my belly for years and after a 3 hour hypnosis session, it was gone. It came back in full force. I love life and I love people. I’m just exhausted and grieving, more., I’m fearful of judgement (that’s me judging myself) by others, procrastination, perfectionism, from both my childhood and my adult trauma. Now my Father and my beloved dog Bella. She went 2 days after him. They became best friends in old age. Thank you kindly. I hope to hear from you.
